Praise God!
Christmas season is here with us as we come to the end of the year.
What is your Joy This Christmas?
Christmas is a time when we are reminded to embrace the spirit of kindness,
generosity, peace, warm relationship, joy and Love.
Birth of Christ which we celebrate during Christmas, ushered in Salvation,
transformation, new life, freedom, re-birth (John3:16).
The Joy of Christmas is:
- Humbleness-
Jesus as a Son of God, to be born in a manger was a sign of humbleness
because God would have provided an environment befitting a King. The
manger was accessible to all including the shepherds. There is too
much arrogance in the world and humbleness is lacking. Pride of trust in us cuts
off contact with God. LET'S HUMBLE OURSELVES BEFORE GOD THIS CHRISTMAS.
- Awareness-
Mary and Joseph were aware what they were going through as they had been
made aware by an Angel. Are we aware of what Christmas is all about? Do we
create that awareness to others? Shepherds were made aware of the good
news and at once they left their flock to go and see Jesus and when
they had seen him, they spread the word over the hills and everywhere. (
Luke 2: 8-20)
- Awake-
Shepherds were awake and guarding their sheep when the Angel brought them
the Good News. We need to be awake and alert in order to receive and
embrace the Christmas meaning.
- Giving-
God out of his mercy gave us His only Begotten Son, Jesus. (John3:16). The
Wise Men from East came following the Star to see Jesus. They gave their
time and precious gifts and bowed down and worshiped him. For
Christmas to have a meaning we need to give our hearts, our precious
moments, and our valuables to God.....Surrender all for Jesus to be
Emmanuel in our lives.
- Hope-
(Isaiah 9:6-7) for to us a Savior is born ( Luke 2: 11) and given to us, a
wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace and
the Government (Heavenly Kingdom ) is on his shoulders.
- Rejoice in the Lord always, rejoice in the Lord this
Christmas, Be gentle, do not be anxious about anything, and pray that
God's Peace be with you this Christmas. (Philippians 4:4-9)
- Peace be with you this
Christmas and Happy New Year.
