KCOC 6TH ANNIVERSARY
Greetings in the name that is above all others names!
It is with warmth and gratitude to our almighty God that I welcome all of you
to the 6th anniversary of our Church. Anniversary is an occasion of joy and happiness to celebrate the togetherness
and it marks a milestone.
Today is also an opportunity for all of us to give thanks for the many ways our
God has been gracious to each one of us and to Christians and non -Christian
around the globe, despite the recession, poverty, diseases, unemployment,
insecurity, global warming, mortgage closers, just to mention a few, of the
many other challenges we face in our daily life.
I would like to specially thank and recognize the KCOC Board for tireless
efforts and hard work, at times against odds, to see that this Church is
thriving
A few administrative changes have taken place after a meeting with Church
Development Team of PTCA, and Rev. Dr Mwihia, Rev S. Muhia and myself, where it
was re-defined that Rev Dr Mwihia serves at Church of all Nations while Rev Muhia serves
Church of Master while I am accredited to this Church- KCOC to serve as its
Pastor, all of us being members of the same Presbytery. As a result both Rev Dr Mwihia and Rev Muhia are no longer Board
members of KCOC and that includes Mrs Mwihia who is an Elder at Church of all
Nations. This was also ratified in the last Board meeting.
We are in the process of being given a voice in the Presbytery of Twin Cities
after the presbytery accepted to give us a slot of 1 or 2 representatives by
next year.
Let us take this occasion to remind ourselves of the greatest challenges facing
Christians today. These challenges include but not limited to Spiritual, Social
and economic matters just to mention a few. I would encourage all of us to join
wider group of Christian community by meeting
and praying for the many threats facing Christian today so that we Christian
speak with one voice against the evils in the universe. We need to come out of
our little cocoons of individuality and face Satan boldly by standing out to be
counted, by attending Church regularly as the word says in Hebrews 10:19-25. We
need to be actively engaged in the Church, taking responsibilities building
God's Kingdom. Let us volunteer our time for we cannot afford to remain part of
the silent majority. We need to come together to solve our problems, plan for
the future for us and our children.
Let us put on the whole Armor of God. (Ephesians
6:10-18).
